Patchwork Drama is the youth section of Pattingham Drama Group. We accept children and young people aged between 8- and 18-years-old. Patchwork usually stages productions two each year - the main one being in February - and Patchwork members often perform in Drama Group productions.
Our activities include drama games and exercises, performing, collaboration with other youth drama groups and visits to the theatre. We meet on Saturday mornings at Pattingham Village Hall.
In December a group of Patchwork members, family and friends will be going to see a production of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by Histon's Players. Contact Hilary, Gladys or David for further details.
Our next production will be an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's The Princess and the Pea . The story has been updated to feature a princess from Beverley Hills, with the Palace Fairy assisted by a top-notch Personal Assistant and an IT Whiz. We're hoping the audience will join in the fun on 5-7 February 2010.
In February Patchwork performed What You Will , extracts and adaptations of plays by William Shakespeare - Charles and Mary Lamb's Story of Macbeth , Dogg's Hamlet by Tom Stoppard, a devised piece based on As You Like It and the Courtroom Scene from the Merchant of Venice .
